It is the oldest university in Spain and the Hispanic world and the third oldest in Europe, founded in 1252, it is a public university in Salamanca.
It receives more than 1.200 students each year through the Socrates and Erasmus programs.
Currently, the University of Salamanca consists of sixteen faculties, with different campuses in the city of Salamanca, and also has campuses in the cities of Ávila, Zamora, Béjar and Villamayor.
